Dear Rachel,

This is it. The final day of 2016.

But that doesn’t mean you can’t do something really valuable on the last day.

Even if you’re swamped with plans, I want to challenge you to take just ten minutes at some point over this New Year weekend.

You can easily make the time to spend ten minutes doing something simple, but profound, can't you?  Something that will really make a difference and clarify your intentions for 2017.

Here’s my challenge to you –

STEP 1

Sit down with a pen and paper, and for two-and-a-half minutes write down everything you learned in the past year. Through failures (which are still wins, technically!) and successes, and everything in between, what insights have you gained this year?

STEP 2

For the remaining two-and-a-half minutes, write down what you want to learn in the New Year. Write down every little thing your heart desires. (And no, don’t think of these as resolutions, because we all know resolutions tend to be discarded within days or weeks).

STEP 3

In the coming week, copy the “want-to-learn” items from your New-Year list and put them somewhere visible. Save your original list and put it somewhere safe so you can peek at it later (like a year from now) and be proud of your accomplishments.

STEP 4

And, if you really want to go the extra mile, email your coach and share your new learning goals. You know we’re excited to help you in your endeavours! :)

Simple?  Profound? And it’s a great way to turn the page from 2016 to 2017.

If you want to complete a deeper reflection here are some thought provoking questions.  Remember the key is to set aside an hour in the next day or two to WRITE DOWN your answers to each of these questions.   You won't regret it!

Since this is my last email of 2016, I want to thank you for being a member of the 4Front Community and  wish you a prosperous, fulfilling, insightful and productive New Year.

Looking forward to learning adventures together in 2017

Rachel
