I am Pharmacist Miranda

Hi There,

I'm Miranda, a pharmacist who is highly driven and ambitious and constantly seeking opportunities for professional growth. I want to enhance my leadership skills and expand my knowledge beyond my clinical expertise as a Pharmacist.

I would like to step into a Supervisor Pharmacist role but recognise that I need to master certain skills outside of my clinical role. I value being able to make a positive impact and would like to learn how to empower a team and drive positive change within the pharmacy.

However, I don't want to create a heavy load of responsibility that adds the Supervisor role on top of my Clinical role. I recognise that to be successful, I must delegate many of the day-to-day clinical duties to assume the business management and professional governance duties inside the Supervisor role.

So the question is, how do I learn what is involved in the skills needed for the Supervisor role?

Well, I have discovered a programme that will teach me what I need to learn and what I need to do to step into the Supervisor Pharmacist role -- "Unleashing Your Leadership Potential" programme.

It's a hybrid programme being offered through 4Front Pharmacy's Pharmacist Coach Academy with Rachel Dungan, the Pharmacist Coach.

This multi-dimensional programme focuses on 4Front's Path of Success model (as shown in the image) and will help me with creating a life and career path that makes me proud to be a Supervisor Pharmacist without feeling lost and unfulfilled or giving up and leaving the profession as a pharmacist.

Additionally, based on the research I've done, this programme will also benefit our Pharmacy in the following ways:

  1. Aligns with our Pharmacy's Goals of protecting patients and delivering quality customer service. Plus, it focuses on leadership development, fostering a positive work culture, improving employee engagement and business success.
  2. Newly acquired coaching skills will help me improve communication, collaboration, and teamwork within the pharmacy, leading to enhanced patient safety, reduced errors, and increased efficiency.
  3. Actual return on investment (ROI) for sponsoring me in the programme may include employee retention, reduced recruitment and training costs, increased patient satisfaction and loyalty, and contribute to the pharmacy's bottom line.
  4. We gain a competitive advantage over other pharmacies by differentiating ourselves with a programme for developing strong leaders, attracting top talent, and position ourselves as a leader in providing exceptional patient care.
